Tanglewood Adds Brian Wilson and Chris Botti

The Tanglewood music festival adds two new artists to the 2016 performance schedule to take place June 19-September 3. On Sunday, June 19, at 2:30 p.m., in the Koussevitzky Music Shed at Tanglewood, Beach Boys legend and cofounder Brian Wilson will be featured in a performance of the entire album “Pet Sounds,” as part of a 50th anniversary celebration of the work widely regarded as one of the best albums of all time. Brian Wilson performed at Tanglewood with the Beach Boys three times in the 1980s; this concert marks his first solo performance at the venue. Celebrated trumpeter Chris Botti also joins the 2016 Tanglewood season lineup with a performance on Friday, June 24, at 8 p.m. in Ozawa Hall. Mr. Botti first performed at Tanglewood in 2005 and most recently performed at the festival in 2012.
