He asked knowing the answer
Why yes I said playing along
Where do you come from
Up there I answered
Pointing to the clear
Bright cloudless sky
Hadn’t heard that before
Curiously he asked
What tribe is that
Sicilian
He fell over laughing
Never hip a square
I thought smiling
As we drove on
Through the mirages
Spirits and ghosts of
