I Am Jacob's Pillow
Help to Rebuild After Recent Fire
By: Pamela Tatge - Dec 04, 2020
Dear Friend,
For 88 years—even during this pandemic year—Jacob's Pillow has supported both new and established dance artists and served the field as an intersection for dance creation, innovation, and practice.
So when our intimate and beloved Doris Duke Theatre (one of three stages) burned to the ground on November 17, so many in dance around the world grieved … and they let us know. In response to their heartfelt and cherished declarations we want to say that each one of them—dancers, former dancers, students, scholars, dance lovers, teachers—IS JACOB’S PILLOW. And so are you.
I AM JACOB’S PILLOW
If I have danced on the stages of the Ted Shawn Theatre, Doris Duke Theatre, or Inside/Out, then I AM JACOB’S PILLOW.
If I have taught at Jacob’s Pillow, then I AM JACOB’S PILLOW.
If I’ve studied or researched a book or enjoyed a video or roamed the campus, then I AM JACOB’S PILLOW.
If I’ve ever been to a Pillow performance or streamed one, then I AM JACOB’S PILLOW.
If I love dance and dancers and the creation of magic, then I AM JACOB’S PILLOW.
Please stand up for the rebuilding of the Duke and moving forward and continuing our mission and supporting dance by joining us and saying
I AM JACOB’S PILLOW.
Your gift today is for dance and dancers and the Pillow’s future … and we are very happy to recognize you as someone who has declared that
I AM JACOB’S PILLOW.
Please make your donation today, and thank you from everyone in your Jacob’s Pillow family.
With our best wishes always,
Pamela Tatge
Executive & Artistic Director
