End of 70’s

Jane and Steve
Old friends
In every sense
Now more than ever
Countdown looms
Under harvest moon
Giant Orange Julius
A matter of days
Feeling rather foolish
Staggering into our 80’s
Marking another decade
Truth is that
It’s been a blast
Thoughts of the past
Days of wine and roses
Regrets there are so few
Out out brief candle
Mooch magique
Burning checks
Fifty years and no sense
Dancing in the flames
Christmas at Benno’s
The gang was all there
So young and foolish
We were immortal
As it should be
Forever young
Songs never sung
In heart and mind
Grandfather clocks unwind
Yet how we yearn
Cornucopia of concerns
Days ever more precious
Getting things done
Important projects
Tying up loose ends
Jane making paintings
Mythic iconography
Cogent semiotics
Graphic theosophy
Blasts of Blavatsky
Hints of Kandinsky
Now at Tunnel City
Steve and I writing books
His on evolution
Going ape
So to speak
Me on the MFA
An oral history
Racing against time
Not on our side
Natty knit picking
Stitch up and repair
The raveled sleeve of care
