Mocktoberfest at Berkshire Country Day

Over $60,000 Raised

By: - May 13, 2016

The Berkshire Country Day annual 'Spring Soiree'  is a benefit for financial aid for those students who would like to attend BCD, but, cannot due to the tuition. Each year the school hosts a fundraiser to raise awareness and funds to help those who are in need.

This year's soiree was titled 'Mocktoberfest' and featured Brooklyn's zany 'Polka Brothers' band.

Food was donated and catered by Chef Marianna Morrison of MM. She prepared an amazing Indian meal that paired perfectly with the numerous styles of beer from Wandering Star Brewery and wines from Nejaime's.

The purpose of the financial aid program is to ensure current and prospective students have the opportunity to attend the school regardless of financial circumstances.

The auction netted over $60,000 exceeding its $50,000 goal.

There were numerous audience participation games, including the holding of liter mugs of beer (in this case water). The person whose stretched arm lasted the longest, without buckling, was the winner.

A fun night was had by all.
