Barrington Stage Company announces the 2013 Concert and Mr. Finn’s Cabaret series performances and dates.

Broadway’s Linda Lavin to star in Possibilities with Billy Stritch on piano
Boyd-Quinson Mainstage, July 8 at 8pm
Featuring an eclectic mix of Broadway standards and cabaret songs, Tony and Golden Globe-winning actress Linda Lavin’s new cabaret will show you why Stephen Holden of The New York Times calls her “…a human tornado who lets nothing stand in her way…She has a jazz side, can swing and scat and even growl like Louis Armstrong, and displays a special fondness for Brazilian bossa nova.”  The NY Daily News called Possibilities “a show packed with warmth, humor and jazzy arrangements by musical director Billy Stritch.” Tickets: $75 VIP (includes post-show reception with Ms. Lavin); $45 and $35. Mr. Finn’s Cabaret Series
Mr. Finn’s Cabaret celebrates its second summer with a new expanded cabaret series. Grab your friends (and a glass of wine or beer at our bar) and sit back and enjoy a night of entertainment at Mr. Finn’s Cabaret at the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center, 36 Linden Street, Pittsfield. Cabaret capacity is now 99.
 
We Made That: The Songs of Miller & Tysen
June 1 at 9:30pm & June 2 at 8pm
Described as equal parts James Taylor and Stephen Sondheim, Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen’s songs have been performed everywhere from East Village rock clubs, to Off-Broadway theaters, to Sesame Street. The concert will feature some of Broadway’s best performers singing new songs as well as tunes from The Burnt Part Boys, Fugitive Songs, and The Mysteries of Harris Burdick.  Miller and Tysen will also offer up a sneak peak of material from their new musical Tuck Everlasting. Tonya Pinkins in Hurricane Ethel: The Life and Times of Ethel Waters

Oprah Winfrey described Tony Award-winner (Caroline, or Change) Tonya Pinkins as one of the "Ten Women in America Who Will Take Your Breath Away." Join Tonya as she follows Ethel Waters from poverty to Broadway to Hollywood triumphs. A moving tribute to one of the greatest blues and jazz singers of the 20th century. Tickets: $35
 
Up Close with the Cast of On the Town
June 29 at 10:30pm
Join us for an informal evening of songs performed by the unbelievably talented On the Town cast. Get to know them in a different light as they sing their favorite cabaret songs. Tickets: $15

The fabulous Joe Iconis, who won the hearts of so many as the composer and lyricist of The Black
Suits and our sold-out cabarets last year, will once again present an evening of his sly, mischievous, toe-tapping – and always – brilliant songs. Come hear some rockin’ music from the writer of "Broadway Here I Come" (of TV's Smash). Tickets: $25.
