Doggerel
A simple request
We made my bed
A daily ritual
Let’s fold the laundry
Not now I said
Having my morning tea
Quiet time
At the computer
Surfing news
Why do today
What you can do
Tomorrow
The next day or
What all and whatever
Masterful at putting
Things off
The answer to which
Survival guilt means
Getting at least
Something done
Each and every day
More often than not
False accomplishment
This poem for instance
Dog eared doggerel
While tasks
Pile up ever greater
Things undone
Salved over
Plausible palliatives
Life examined
In increments
Rather than
Devoured whole
Like folding laundry
