The Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare

directed by David R. Gammons

September 24 - October 19, 2014

Venue To Be Revealed

“O, train me not, sweet mermaid,

with thy note, to drown me in thy sister’s flood of tears.”

One of his earliest, his shortest, and probably Shakespeare’s first commissioned play, The Comedy Of Errors is a delectable romp of mistaken identities. Heartache and hilarity commingle in this raucous escapade of twins and travel.

Phaedra by Jean Racine

directed by M. Bevin O'Gara

November 19 - December 7, 2014

Venue To Be Revealed

“Yes, I will live, if life can be restored, If my affection for a son has pow'r

To rouse my sinking heart at such a dangerous hour.”

Her husband presumed dead, a woman falls unrequitedly hard for her stepson who rebuffs her. His desire is for his family’s enemy’s daughter. Unexpectedly the father returns and tragedy ensues. Racine was an enormously popular French playwright in his day, and Phaedra, an ancient, wrenching tale of forbidden love proves why.

Measure for Measure by William Shakespeare

directed by Megan Sandberg-Zakian

January 7 - February 1, 2015

Multicultural Arts Center, Cambridge

They say, best men are moulded out of faults,

And, for the most, become much more the better

For being a little bad.”

What happens when society breaks down and power is put into the hands of the wrong people? Measure for Measure examines the consequences that a narrow interpretation of the laws can hold for the subjects they affect.

God's Ear by Jenny Schwartz

directed by Thomas Derrah

March 25 - April 12, 2015

The Davis Square Theatre, Somerville

God's Ear is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.

“You bought your son a bike for his second birthday.

But he couldn’t reach the pedals until his third birthday.”

God’s Ear depicts a family’s struggle to come to terms with loss through seemingly disconnected words and figures of speech, all the while shedding new light on how humans cope. A powerful piece.

Henry VI, Part 2 by William Shakespeare

directed by Tina Packer

May 13 - June 7, 2015

The Modern Theatre at Suffolk University, Boston

“Could I come near your beauty with my nails,

I’d set my ten commandments in your face.”

Probably Shakespeare’s first history play, Henry VI, Part 2 throws us into a world of conspiracy, prophesy and intrigue in a way that brings every one of the these historical figures vividly to life
