Today being Monday

Wednesday, maybe
Thursday, could be
Afternoon say
Gottah clear a path
Ain't easy
Long days alone
Walking cold Lighthouse Beach
Not much in the cupboards
Big can of plums maybe beans
Slim pickins
Visiting Jane Tarr
Fellow skipper in the village
She hosted a sock hop
Fell in love that night
Close dancing to

Finally, sanding the hull
Downtown for paint and supplies
Gloucester Marine and Lumber
Three coats of hard, slick enamel
Dated a bit that summer
Too busy racing
Boat sure was fast
