Just a kid
Way too ethnic
Dad demanded Eat
Putting food on the table
However exotic
Preparing for global travel
Culinary sophistication
Fear of punishment
That night
Total rebellion
Including Mom
He went too far
While we starved
Perhaps bread and butter
With great flourish
Ate them all
A meal
Never repeated
