Demure and behaved
Talk with her
Every day
Complex tales of
Cat and mouse
Composed harmony
So well behaved
House trained
Never a fuss
Always there
When we need her
Hardly a mess
Content in its nest
We do confess
With ten lives
One more or less
Better than most
Holy Ghost
Will no doubt
Outlast us all
Such a fine feline
Companion of pharaohs
Man’s better friend
Well stuffed
Suitably designed
For eternity
With a soupcon
Of modernity
Sharing our
Here and now
